Chairman – Tony Postlethwaite
I have been a plot holder for the last 8 years (the Good Life ) Who remembers that?
I have maintained the allotments for the past 2 years along with my wife, who is the Allotment officer, turning around plots that have been left uncultivated when a plot holder leaves for whatever reason and we need to get it back to a re-rentable condition. I also maintain the areas around the Allotment.
In these difficult times it is good to see Plot Holders growing their own.
My Hobby is Radio Control Aircraft so check out my Drone Footage that is on our Allotment Web Site!
Treasurer – Tina Robinson
I have lived in the village for the last 7 years and even newer to the allotment life as took on my plot in May 2021. Everyone at the allotment is very friendly and always offer advice, which I’m very grateful for.
I enjoy helping the community as I’m a part of the Countesthorpe Community Litter Pickers so when a position on the committee became open, I offered my services.
Allotments Officer – Gill Postlethwaite
I have lived in the village for the past 31 years and have been a plot holder for the past 6 years… upon being voted onto the allotment committee in October 2019 as Allotment officer my aim was to turn around vacant plots which has not seen any revenue for several years & to bring a fresh & new look allotment into place… I am very much a hands on person… passionate in maintaining the Allotment & always moving it forward & a people person, that’s me… Gill
Seeds Officer – Fiona Richmond
I have been a Countesthorpe resident for over 25 years and had an allotment for 17 of those years. The allotments are a great place to unwind and I have made some wonderful friends over the years, sometime more chatting is done than physical work.
As Seed officer for CGAS I will deliver your seed catalogues, collect orders, and deliver your goods. I have been Seed officer for several years and if I cannot answer your questions, I can find out the information for you.
