2022 Pumpkin Competition – The Results


There was a great turn out on Saturday 22nd October for the pumpkin competition. A crowd gathered around the tables outside of plot 32, eagerly awaiting the weigh in of the heaviest pumpkins! Continue reading to find out the results of the competitions!

Up first was the guess the weight of the ugly pumpkin competition. All attendees were asked to guess the weight of the pumpkin and the closest weight won. The winner of this competition was Jamie Kyser plots 14 & 15 who guessed the nearest at 8lb 7 oz the actual weight was 10lb 7.6oz.

Next up was the Normal Halloween Pumpkins!

The results of this category are:

1st Place – Tina Robinson (treasurer) plots 43A & 45A with 15lb 8.9oz
2nd Place – Karen & Alan Wilson plot 24 with 15lb 2.5oz
3rd Place – joint Winners Jamie Kyser & Gill Postlethwaite with Pumpkins 14lb 12oz

1st prizes were also awarded to Julie Tetlow plot 30 for her Trombocini and Carole & David troake plots 4D & 4A the winners last year of that beast of a pumpkin to produce the smallest this year.
