Despite the rain, there was a great turn out yesterday for the heaviest pumpkin competition. A crowd (safely distanced within government guidelines) gathered around the tables outside of plot 32, clutching Gill’s homemade spiced pumpkin soup and beer, eagerly awaiting the weigh in of the heaviest pumpkins!
Up first was the Giant Mammoth category! Entered by Dave Merrick, Plot 17 and Donna Footitt, Plot B. Two different varieties were entered into this category! The results of this category are:
1st Place – Dave Merrick with a whopping 56Lbs!
2nd Place – Donna Footitt with 6.5Lbs!

During the weigh in of the Giant Mammoth’s, there was a guess the weight of the ugly pumpkin competition. All attendees were asked to guess the weight of the pumpkin in Lbs and the closest weight won. The winner of this competition was David Millar, Plot 50.

Next up was the Normal Halloween Pumpkins! Entered by Oli Emmerson, plots 15 & 44, Karen & Alan Wilson, Plot 24 and David Millar and Family, Plot 50. The results of this category are:
1st Place – David Millar and Family with 20Lbs
2nd Place – Oli Emmerson with 18Lbs
3rd Place – Karen & Alan Wilson with 14Lbs
